CS 247G: Design a simple Zoom game

  • This is a simple modified version of rock-paper-scissors. Players use the raise hand (rock), thumbs ups (scissors), and thumbs down (paper) emojis to indicate their choices.
  • Rather than the traditional 1 point-per-round rule, in this game each object has a different weight. Rock equals 3 points, scissors equals 2 points, and paper equals 1 point. To create a dimension of risk, and account for the increased reward of winning a round with rock, there is a cost to losing with each object as well. For instance, winning a round with rock causes the player to win 3 points, but losing a round with rock causes the player to lose 3 points. Players may use the chat function to keep track of their score, since it fluctuates and can be difficult to keep track of. The objective of the game is to reach 5 points.
